MINUTES OF A MEETING OF THE FINANCE COMMITTEE HELD ON TUESDAY 19TH FEBRUARY 2008 AT 7.00PM IN TOWER COURT, HORNS LANE, PRINCES RISBOROUGH

1. APOLOGISE FOR ABSENCE
Apologies were received and accepted from Cllr M Wooster and Cllr Hall
2. MINUTES
The minutes of the previous meeting, having been previously circulated, were approved by the Meeting and signed by the Chairman.
3. DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST
Members were asked to declare any personal interest and the nature of that interest in which they may have in any of the items under consideration at this meeting. None were declared
4. ACCOUNTS FOR PAYMENTS AND NOTE ITEMS OF INCOME
The income and expenditure for February were examined by the Committee.
Cllr Streule proposed and Cllr Clifford seconded that the accounts be recommended to the Council and the necessary cheques signed.
All present agreed.
Cllr Orsler would like it minuted that the Town Council should have been made aware of a purchase made by the Town Council on behalf of Risborough Cares (cheque number 4386). The Clerk is requested to chase up the payment owing to the Town Council in respect of this payment and report back to the Finance Committee.
Cllr Clifford reviewed an invoice from Surecare and wanted to discuss a charge with them prior to releasing the cheque. It was agreed by all that once the charge is reviewed and authorised by Cllr Clifford, then the cheque would be released.
5. CORRESPONDENCE
Quote received from Windowsflowers in respect of the supply, plant and maintenance of the planting throughout Town. Cllr Orsler confirmed that the current procedure should apply, whereby 3 quotes should be received and then a recommendation is put forward to the full Town Council.
6. To discuss &
decide on the payment of cheque number 004370
Cllr Clifford confirmed that this issue is now resolved. It was agreed by
all
that this cheque should now be issued.

The next meeting of the Committee will take place on Tuesday 18th March 2008 at 7.30pm in Tower Court, Horns Lane, Princes Risborough.
